Kinesio tape helped keep my knee pain manageable until I could strengthen the weak muscles that caused it.
Many squats, lifts and monstor walks later...I'm doing much better.
Hope you are able to keep yours in check! That Pink Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16293455614178904012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8601253156088198110.post-80816453356981243702010-10-18T10:13:24.508-04:002010-10-18T10:13:24.508-04:00@Jes - I want to try out those Five Fingers. Her friend and her stared at if to 30 minutes trying to figure out if it was real. Her friend finally asked if I was on roids. My mother said I must be because I was only about 180lbs last time she saw me. I had her fooled. You've got to love Photoshop. :-) Let me know if you need any Photoshop "college" pics for your blogs. :-)

Kevin
http://halftriing.blogspot.comKevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02282338420014507326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8601253156088198110.post-82181739026783601192010-10-14T15:24:10.268-04:002010-10-14T15:24:10.268-04:00I started having knee problems just this past year...I started having knee problems just this past year. It hurt each and EVERY time I ran.

But I started to ice post-run, and that helped a little.

The biggest helper was training with a HR monitor. I started to do my training runs at a much slower pace, which was easier on my knees. Now, when I do need to go fast, it's no problem!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09670066440911102412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8601253156088198110.post-84915594071443391472010-10-14T14:40:47.370-04:002010-10-14T14:40:47.370-04:00My knees are good (knock on wood)...and yeah...I s...My knees are good (knock on wood)...and yeah...I second E...HOLY CRAP!Quinton Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06118595784155626046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8601253156088198110.post-91151703738121962202010-10-14T11:45:24.466-04:002010-10-14T11:45:24.466-04:00I love this post.

After reading a couple of studies, I am definitely not using ibuprofen for running-related soreness/swelling anymore.KovasPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03401299101228398072noreply@blogger.com
