 Throwback Thursday - Frost Bite or Halloween?

Wow, do I look frost bitten in that picture!  Needless to say this picture was not in FL.  This would have been taken when I lived Michigan.  I am either frost bitten or it was Halloween.
Training has been difficult lately.   Living in FL is nice except for when you have to heat train in 100-105F heat index (which we are currently facing).  After a bike ride the last thing I want to do is run in this heat. 
If the heat is not bad enough we now have forest fires in my area so it even smells like you are running in a smoker.  You are truly hickory smoked after training.
Due to the last two races my weight training has been slacking.  I did a small chest routine on Tuesday and my chest is still sore.  My next race is far enough away that I am going to kick the weight training back into high gear.

Are you slacking on your weight training?

  1. Yep, I am totally slacking on my weight training and I hear about it every time I talk to my strength coach. Whoops!

    That is my weakness. I just do lots of yoga to strengthen my core and push ups for upper body from time to time.

  3. I was weight training.. now I don't know how to fit it in with all the tri training!!! Suggestions?

  4. Yeah, my weight training drops off when i get into tri training. I need to work out more often.

  5. Guilty here as well. There just isn't enough time in my day to work a fourth discipline in. Once my half is over, it's back to some weight training.
